Effect of a ptpB deletion on the NO˙ resistance of S. aureus SA564. Cells of S. aureus strain SA564 (filled symbols) and its isogenic Δ ptpB mutant (opened symbols) were cultured in presence and absence of 12.5 µM DEA NONOate in TSB under static conditions at 37 °C and 5% CO 2 for 12 h.
